Donny, Greenwood in – How Man Utd could line up against Brentford

Life under Ralf Rangnick has begun well for Manchester United so far, with two consecutive wins in the league and a rise up to fifth in the table.

But United will face a tough test when travelling to Brentford, where the Bees have drawn with Chelsea and played very well against Chelsea already this season.

Rangnick has a number of absences to contend with, but with games coming thick and fast in the winter period there will be room for changes.

Very few changes if any at all are likely to come at the back, with the likes of Raphael Varane and Aaron Wan-Bissaka still sidelined.

David De Gea will remain in goal and Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles should continue in the full-back positions, but Eric Bailly could come in for Victor Lindelof, who was substituted in the 1-0 win at Norwich at the weekend. Harry Maguire should complete the defence, as per usual.

Rangnick has maintained the infamous Fred and Scott McTominay midfield pairing, but Donny van de Beek could come in for the latter for the trip to London.

Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani are all ruled out for the advanced positions, so changes will be hard to come by.

The new boss will be expected to stick by Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo in three of the four positions, and Mason Greenwood could fill the other at the expense of Marcus Rashford.

A win for United on Tuesday night will see them back in the top four at least temporarily, with West Ham facing Arsenal at the Emirates 24 hours later.
