India first innings summary:

India were off to a steady start with KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. However, Mayank Agarwal was stunned by a short delivery of Marco Jansen. After his departure, the scoring rate dipped with KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara trying to rebuild slowly. However, Pujara’s poor run continued as he gave away a thick edge off a Duanne Olivier short ball.

Ajinkya Rahane, another batsman out of form, lasted just one ball as he tried to drive a ball that was going wide. The two quick wickets put India on the backfoot leaving the visitors to climb a mountain at 53/3.

The second session was no different as India kept on losing wickets despite a small partnership. KL Rahul slammed a fifty. Once Hanuma fell, Rishabh Pant and Rahul accelerated the scoring. But wickets kept falling in regular intervals. Rishabh Pant (17), Shardul Thakur (0) both disappointed and it was only for R Ashwin that India scored some quick runs. With the help of a short cameo from Jasprit Bumrah, India reached 200 before being dismissed for 202.
