Sourav Ganguly Health Updates: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has checked himself in Narayana Health City in Bengaluru for a cardiac check-up. The former Indian captain has been diagnosed with a heart issue and was admitted to hospital twice in Kolkata in 2021. As he is in Bengaluru for IPL 2022 Auction, he got admitted for a day for his cardiac checkup under renowned cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty, who treated him last year. Ganguly suffered a cardiac arrest in January 2021 and was admitted to hospital under Dr Devi Shetty’s care in Kolkata. He was successfully operated on and had to undergo angioplasty. While things seemed fine, he tested positive for Covid-19 last month.

As Covid-19 has been seen to be problematic for people with an underlying heart condition, Ganguly was taken to the Naryana Health City in Bomassandra for a routine check-up under Shetty’s care. Sourav Ganguly is in the city for the IPL 2022 Auction which will take place over the weekend at the ITC Gardenia hotel in the city.

On Saturday and Sunday, a total of 590 cricketers will go under the hammer in Bengaluru. Out of the 590, 227 are overseas players. On Saturday, 161 players will be auctioned with 10 teams including the two new franchises — Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans — will be bidding for them.
